Background
The ISM Section was incorporated under the Health Department of Municipal Corporation of Delhi to perform civic liabilities to provide Health Care facilities to the people of Delhi since long. These Health Care facilities under ISM Banner include Ayurveda, Homeopathy and Unani System of Medicines. Though, all these 3 system of medicine have one thing in common i.e. preparation of medicines from natural resources like Plants, Herbs, Sherbs, Materials available from Sea, Heavy Metals etc. etc. but the style of usage, preparation, applications and nomenclature are different.
To sum up as a matter of fact the principal of Ayurveda on which the System of Ayurvedic Treatment rely is the balance state of 3 types of “DOSHAS” (VATA, PITTA, KAPHA) used to called as Tri Dosha the tripod of life. The balance state of these Doshas is a state of Health in the Holistic manner i.e. physical, mental, spiritual. And imbalance state of these Doshas is a state of diseases and accumulation of toxins generated. The science of Ayurveda is a part and parcel of the life for more then 5,000 years.

Health care facilities provided through the treatment given by Ayurvedic Systems of Medicines through 116 Ayurvedic Dispensaries, 2 Ayurvedic General Hospitals, 7 Ayurvedic Panchkarma Hospitals and 2 Ayurvedic Diabetic Hospitals situated through out the length and width of Delhi.
